Roll cloud over the lake at Rawdon Cottages

We want our guests to feel welcome at Rawdon Cottages, and we’re pleased to share our place with you! However, we do have some rules we’d like you to be aware of! By following them, you can help to ensure that our property is enjoyed by all, including us. These rules apply to everyone; if you have daytime guests, please make sure that they observe the rules as well.

  • The number of overnight occupants must not exceed the cottage capacity. Capacities per cottage: Robinhood 6, Hazelwood 6, and Lakeside 8.
  • Please limit the number of daytime guests. Excessive numbers of daytime guests put a strain on the property, disturb the other guests, and increase utility costs.
  • Please stay on Rawdon Cottages property and beach. The neighbors are friendly but appreciate respect for their privacy. Please share the beach with your fellow guests. Note that beach fires are technically forbidden by village ordinances.
  • Please respect the following STRICT limits on the number of vehicles parked on Rawdon Cottages property:

Four (4) cars per cottage for Lakeside
Three (3) cars per cottage for Robinhood and Hazelwood

Any additional cars must be parked off the property, on Lake Road (Route 531).

These limits also apply to daytime guests; you are responsible for enforcing the limits with your guests.

  • Park only in the spaces designated for your cottage.
  • Prior approval is required for pets, and we do not permit pets over 25 lbs. We charge a fee of $10 per pet, per cottage, per night. Pets. Guests who arrive with a pet weighing more than 25 pounds will be charged a fee of $20 per pet, per cottage, per night. Please keep pets off the furniture. Pets that swim must be dry before entering the cottages.
  • Pets are NOT permitted in Robinhood or Hazelwood unless both sides are rented by the same family or group of friends. Again, prior approval is required, and there will be a fee of $8 per pet, per cottage, per night.
  • Tent camping is not allowed. Camping cannot be used to exceed cottage capacities.
  • All windows and doors must be closed when the air conditioning or heat is on. Heating/cooling the outdoors is expensive and not environmentally friendly.
  • Quiet time is from 11 pm until morning. No music, loud talking, or other racket after 11 pm. Please be considerate!
  • A $150 deposit is required to reserve a cottage. If you cancel your reservation, your deposit will NOT be refunded unless we can rent the cottage to someone else. Please notify us of cancellations as soon as possible so that we can work on re-renting the cottage.
  • Payment: We accept payment in cash or by check or money order.
  • Check-out time is 11 am, and check-in time is 4 pm. We don’t have a large staff, so we need sufficient time to clean the cottages between guests.
  • Guests must provide their own linens, including sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels, and washcloths. Bed sizes are listed on each cottage’s page on this website.
  • Please compress your trash. We provide cans and a dumpster, but they fill quickly. If the cans are full, please use the dumpster.
  • Please respect our investment in the cottages. Don’t rough-house or break the fixtures.

We apologize for all these rules, but our goal is to head off issues that have occasionally caused problems for us or our guests in the past. We thank you for staying with us and hope that you’ll come again! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
